OPPORTUNITY:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, assisting with, and enhancing the clinical work of MFT, MSW, and Psychology interns and trainees and promoting the conceptual, intuitive, and personal skills necessary for their professional development. Supervision also includes monitoring the quality of work of interns and trainees at Green Dot campuses. Group and individual supervision, intern training, professional development, and establishing/maintaining school relations are key responsibilities of the position.
This is a year-round position, requiring work both during and after school hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Provide direct individual and group clinical supervision to interns and trainees
> Manage and respond to day-to-day concerns related to intern and trainee performance and needs
> Work with Clinical Services and Mental Health Team to ensure that the counseling program is meeting goals and objectives of Green Dot Schools
> Collaborate with the Clinical Services Supervisor regarding intern training, documentation, and additional Clinical Services related activities
> Assist in the assessment of the psychosocial needs of clients and families
> Assist in the development and facilitation of orientation training and professional development trainings for interns and trainees
> Assist in the development of program educational material and training manuals as appropriate to the training program
> Provide ongoing crisis intervention and case management services to all sites and required personnel
> Work closely with school support staff to meet the psychosocial needs of clients and families
> Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and other meetings and trainings as directed
> Serve as a liaison between clients, clinical staff, and school support staff
> Complete periodic evaluations of interns and trainees for graduate schools
QUALIFICATIONS:
> Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Social Work
> Current CA MFT, LCSW or Clinical Psychologist license required
> Meet CA BBSE and/or BOP eligibility to supervise MFT, MSW, and/or Psychology interns/trainees
> Supervisory and/or therapy experience in a school-based setting desired
> Current CA Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology, School Counseling, or School Social Work is preferred
> Bilingual – Spanish : fluency in both written and oral language desired
> Ability to work independently at a high level or professionalism
> Valid CA driver’s license: job requires work at multiple sites
