Vista Del Mar Position

Family Service of Santa Monica, a service of Vista del Mar, is seeking a Case Manager for our Early Childhood Wellbeing Project (ECWP.)
The Case Manager is a key position in our outpatient mental health clinic and is the only one of its kind. This full time, benefitted position is perfect for someone who has a good grasp of clinical issues impacting young children and their families and would like to continue growing in this area. All candidates must possess a strong ability to multi-task as job duties will be varied from linking clients to resources to outreach to providing direct services.

Requirements:
v                Bilingual (English/Spanish) mandatory
v                Experience with children aged birth to five a must
v                Ability to manage requests and referrals efficiently
v                Assessment skills
v                Ability to work sensitively with parents
v                Knowledge of community referrals necessary, in Santa Monica preferred
v                Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills a must
v                MSW or MFTI preferred, MA required
v                Strong computer and tracking capability
v                Flexibile schedule to accommodate some evenings and client driven services

About this opportunity:
Under the direction of the Director of Programs, this position is responsible for the design and/or implementation of evaluation plans for the programs at LA Best Babies Network and provision of training and technical assistance on data collection and management, continuous quality improvement and evaluation to Network members. This position is also responsible for providing data to the Executive Management Team to enhance decision making processes; prepare program evaluation reports, annual report and other evaluation related documents. This position requires a working knowledge of project management, conducting needs and assets assessments, evaluation, research, and statistical analysis methodology, as well as, excellent written and verbal communication skills, teaching abilities, time management and project management skills.
Qualifications:
Three to five years experience in program evaluation, data management and training on data management, of which 1 year to include working with community based organizations. Master's Degree in social services, public health, or equivalent. Strong computer skills in use of MS Word, Power point, Excel, MS Access and Outlook. Proficiency using statistical software (SPSS, SAS, and/or STATA) Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, including understanding of statistical methods and data management. Strong understanding of designing, planning, conducting, and evaluating public health programs. Ability to successfully organize and coordinate efforts of a project that involves multiple sources of information across multiple locations. Ability to identify national, state and local data sources that may useful in evaluating program effectiveness. Ability to apply logic model and utilization focused techniques to community programs. Valid California driver's license and current, full coverage auto insurance.
