Quality Assurance Clinician
Job Description

Job Title:        Quality Assurance Clinician
Dept:               Wellness Center
Status:             Half-time/Exempt

SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Clinician will provide review and oversight of Medi-Cal documentation and client records to ensure Lamp operates a high-quality Wellness Center that meets or exceeds DMH and Medi-Cal standards for documentation.  The Clinician will also provide Wellness Center staff consultation and trainings as it applies to meeting Medi-Cal and DMH documentation standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
            Review all Medi-Cal documentation including weekly progress notes, Adult Initial Assessments, Annual Assessment Updates, Client Care Coordination Plans, Discharge Summaries, and all other clinical and administrative forms associated with the client record
            Track and monitor documentation due dates and annual cycle dates
            Track and reconcile SFPR function on paperwork, and collect signatures for documentation when needed
            Audit charts and reconcile findings to county and state requirements and ensure presence of required documentation
            Assists in the development and drafting of policies and procedures for the Quality Assurance function
            Gathers data and completes and submits monthly reports on quality assurance activities
            Identifies need for and provides documentation trainings
            Attends Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Quality Improvement Committee for respective service provider area to maintain a working knowledge of requirements

Requirements
            LCSW or MSW (Supervision hours are not available for this position.)
            One year full-time, post-graduate experience working with Medi-Cal/DMH documentation, including both direct practice and review
            Leadership and training skills to effect change where needed in documentation functions.
            Ability to display sensitivity, tact, and responsiveness in various situations and needs.
            Outstanding clinical review and strong team-building skills
            Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database applications
            Highly detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and computer skills
            Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision


WORK ENVIRONMENT
            Field ( may need to travel) and indoor office environment
            Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
            Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
            May need to bend, stoop, twist , and sit throughout the day

EISNER PEDIATRIC & FAMILY MEDICAL CENTER



Integrated Behavioral Health Program Coordinator        

Eisner Pediatric & Family Medical Center is a Community Health Center in downtown Los Angeles serving both the primary care medical and mental health needs of our community.  We currently have an opening for a bilingual (Spanish) LCSW to coordinate Eisner’s Integrated Behavioral Health Program.  This program consists of two parts: one, an innovative, cutting-edge program that provides behavioral health services to our patients by co-locating therapists in our medical departments and working closely with the physicians. The coordinator will have an opportunity to supervise MSW students in this program The other program is in coordinating our HealthyWayLA program which serves our adult population and is a collaboration between the physicians and clinicians.. The candidate must be highly flexible, able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere, and collaborative.  Our population is primarily low-income Latino patients who suffer from anxiety and depression and serious psychosocial factors.  This program does not serve the chronically mental ill.

Qualified candidates would have the following:

Licensed in the state of California as an LCSW
Bilingual in Spanish
Two years clinical supervisory experience
Experience working with diverse populations
Experience working with adults in the mental health system
Ability to utilize short-term, functional interventions conducive to providing integrated care.
Experience with an Integrated Behavioral Health Program highly desirable.
Experience with DMH paperwork desirable
Training in Problem-Solving Therapy desirable
