POSITION Deputy Probation Officer II - Treatment and Counseling are employed at the Probation Department's Residential Treatment facilities throughout the
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provides treatment to psychologically disturbed juveniles and their families, and acts as team leaders; plans and implements treatment programs utilizing accepted
casework skills and techniques; prepares reports and recommendations for use by the Probation Department and the court, and supervises camp or Dorothy Kirby Center wards; runs small group, utilizing evidenced-based cognitive interventions on as needed basis.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS A Master's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Psychology, or Marriage andFamily Therapy from an accredited* college.
