Program Officer: The Carl & Roberta Deutsch Foundation – Full Time
The Program Officer is responsible for overseeing all grantmaking activity in the Foundation’s areas of focus.
Major responsibilities include: analyzing funding requests and grant proposals, preparing written summaries for grant dockets, delivering oral presentations to the board, performing site visits and reviews of grants’ effectiveness, monitoring the payout schedule, providing support to the Foundation grantees, staying current on the issues and trends in the Foundation’s areas of interest, and working with other Foundation staff to implement the overall grantmaking strategy.
Key qualifications: a minimum of 5 years of experience as a program officer, Bachelor or Masters’ degree, excellent writing and communication skills, extensive experience in proposal analysis and financial review, familiarity with GIFTS and a commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and honesty.
