PROJECT ASSOCIATE
Position:
The Project Associate will report to the Director of the Child Welfare Initiative and will be responsible for development of a set of best practices for transition age youth services and housing, examination of alternatives to temporary housing for such youth, and an expansion of the array of the types of services and housing that such youth can access in Los Angeles County and California.
Qualifications:
-Master's degree in public administration, public health, public policy, social work or other related discipline preferred
-Excellent writing and analytical skills, as well as the ability to synthesize information
-Ability to communication with diverse populations
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
-Strong research skills
-Strong leadership skills
Experience:
-Five years experience in project evaluation, research and analysis in a community setting
-Five years experience in child welfare, preferably involving independent living programs and transition age youth
