Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable):
MSW or equivalent experience
Supervisory experience required
Able to guide and mentor others
Experience working with volunteers or being a volunteer.
Ability coordinate multiple tasks
Experience working collaboratively with community based organizations
such as and not limited to public and social service agencies.
Public speaking, presentation skills and written communication skills
required. Must be creative, proactive yet disciplined.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office; PC) required

Job Description:
The Director of Programs & Community Services implements and oversees
the social service programs including but not limited to: conducting
comprehensive assessments; working with residents to identify needs and
develop individual service plans; providing support, advocacy and
assistance toward attaining goals and meeting client needs. This
position collaborates with city and community agencies to provide
comprehensive services to Triangle Square residents.

Relationships:
Reports to: Executive Director

Major Responsibilities/Duties:

o Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of
program and recreational services consistent with GLEH's mission and goals.
o Conducts intake and exit interviews with program clients.
o Serves as counselor advocate/case manager for residents.
o Schedules, facilitates, and/or monitors classes, support groups, and
life skills education for residents.
o Supervises, coordinates, and evaluates all operations of the program
to meet program goals and objectives, consistent with agency's Strategic
Plan.
o Reviews client files to ensure progress is being made to achieve
client goals.
o Prepares the necessary documentation to comply with conditions
outlined by agency contractual agreements.
o Represents GLEH to the community, develops collaborations according to
mission and values. Assures GLEH representation at relevant community
regional and statement councils, networks and events consistent the
mission and vision.
o Create and actively promote a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Work with older adults in a manner that treats every member/participant
with dignity and respect and in a friendly and personalized manner;
o Design, develop and implement expanded Adult programs, as appropriate;
