SENIOR THERAPISTS:
SUMMARY: Provide individual, group, family and milieu based therapy as well as clinically informed and culturally competent case management services for high utilizing clients in a Full Service Partnership program.
DUTIES:
1. Develop, implement and facilitate therapeutic programming and rehabilitative services
2. Act as primary therapist for 12-15 consumers
3. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessment for assigned consumers
4. Serve as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team
5. Act as a liaison to psychiatrist, nursing staff, group home social worker, program director
6. Act as a liaison to primary care takers including group home staff, foster parents and biological parents
7. Formulate coordination, service and case management plans
8. Document consumer progress and staff interventions that focus on the consumer meeting their goals
9. Facilitate direct rehabilitative mental health services as defined by the consumers’ individual treatment plan
10. Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
11. Ensure that consumer files are in compliance with required DMH chart/documentation standards
12. Complete all required DMH paperwork
13. Meet all documentation deadlines
14. Provide training and assist in supervising rehabilitation specialist and group home staff
15. Provide crisis interventions as per on-call schedule and as necessary
16. Attend at all required clinical meetings
17. Maintain awareness of current professional standards for mental health professional
18. Maintain knowledge of all current G.L.A.S.S. policies and procedures
19. Maintain knowledge of all current Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Family Services, and Department of Probation rules, regulations, policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS: MSW, Psychologist, Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT), or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and license eligible by the BBS; and have a valid California driver license and a clean DMV record
